Hi Jon,
I have gone through the free course. There are some topics for which i would need more time and clarification to thoroughly understand. Are these topics covered again in 101 course? Also, as when I go through the course, is it possible for you to answer my queries on vague topics. And if we are good to go, could you please tell me what are the other requirements (like softwares etc.) before I begin with the course.
Thank you,
Neeraj

Neeraj,

As you go though the course, you can post your questions on the forum, and I will get to them. Sometimes it takes me a few days, but I try to give each question a thorough answer. The videos are much more thorough than the free course, so hopefully they answer most of your questions.

As far as additional requirements, you do not need software, although I recommend learning to use notation software. Musescore is a good option, if you are looking for a free one. I use Sibelius, but I am also looking forward to Dorico being released soon, which should be a very good competitor to Sibelius.

But it is possible to do the entire course, with a pencil and staff paper if you want to.
