I am looking to buy an affordable microphone to record some of my compositions — mostly piano. So far i have been using my iPhone’s microphone but the sound is really not that great — or i play really bad 😉

Any suggestion for a reasonably priced microphone –pluggable on iPhone ? Also any recommendation on specific apps to record ?

There are many but I haven’t used any iphone mics specifically. I do have mics by Shure, Apogee, Blue, and Zoom and they are all high quality, so I think if you went with one of those brands, you will be fine.

Same with apps. There are many on the app store and I would recommend just trying a few free ones out until you find something you like.
