Five Minute Speed Composing Session

August 22, 2017 By Jon Brantingham 2 Comments

Watch me compose as quick as I can in five minutes.

The goal of this episode is to just show you what it’s like to sit down and write some music.

It’s really no big deal. I sit. I play. I write.

      Hey John,

I really appreciate your 5-minute composing demo. You really take the “mystery” out of the process and show that it’s about exploration and getting your ideas down on paper without self-criticism, and then using that as your building blocks. I’ve been trying to compose as a classical guitarist but can’t get over the initial “hump”. I think your ideas will help.
