.I studied music in college (it was a jazz performance school) and after I graduated tried to find some composition teachers..(All of which were poor unfortunately) i’ve been continuing my career as a performer but I’ve also had ambitions of writing for a full on Orchestra (and do to some film and game scoring in the future)
Will your course eventually lead me down that road? I’ve been studying scores and I could use a brush up on my functional harmony and analysis. But I haven’t been able to find a teacher to help me connect all the dots between Harmony/Orchestration/Melody.

I believe this course will serve you well in scoring film and games. Most film music is tonal in nature, and you will rely on the tools you learn here often. In fact, you will probably have a better grasp of the fundamentals than many film composers I’ve met in Hollywood.

Hopefully it will be able to connect the dots for you. I try to always take a practical approach first, and have the theory explain why it works. But ultimately the techniques I teach work, and can work for you in any given field of composition.
